XP Grind

Just checking back after a long break with no posts.

A new gaming keyboard has been attained - Razer Black Widow Stealth Edition -  Pretty sweet keyboard - I was debating for a long time whether or not to go mechanical - It was a good choice as it turns out - typing on this thing is addicting now - all the key presses are so smooth and not as loud as the original Black Widow.

Dragon Age Origins - about 20 hours in, almost done.

League of Legends still going strong - dominion and classic - picked up Olaf and trying to jungle with him. Volibear comes out tomorrow, should be interesting.

Just installed Skyrim - definitely not enough time to play everything.

Bought Battlefield3 over the weekend it is one sweet FPS. Although it just makes me wish I had a faster PC. Sigh…

Dungeon Defenders - almost max level 70 (62) - hopefully get 70 this weekend.

Too much to talk about - bought a bunch of stuff for Cyber Monday for Xmas gifts - Heavy Rain PS3, Logitech gaming mouse and keyboard for cousins, Gateway laptop, Scarface on Blu-ray, Samsung Galaxy S2 phone case, battery backup. Check back in later. The grind continues…

GOW1 is now complete on normal difficulty! This is what happens when there are too many games and not enough time for anything. But yes, I finally beat the first Gears of War on Xbox360 with a friend. The action was fun but the story was decent. He tells me Gears 2 will have a better story. I look forward to this. Chainsaw machine gun FTW!

As you may have already read from various tech/gaming websites, Sony announced the Sony PSP2 codenamed the “NGP”. Looks like a nice piece of hardware. Here’s a quick look at the specs:

5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks (not nubs as on the current generation), 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, the same accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move, an electronic compass, and cameras on both the front and back

The hunt begins for a new job and this time I will not settle as I have been in the past. Since gaming is my passion, what better way to satisfy this passion than to work for a game developer? So with that, I applied for TimeGate Studios (their office is local). Unfortunately, 2 days have now passed and I have not heard anything back from them yet. Here’s hoping…

Last night, I was playing as Nunu and we had a leaver on our team half way through the game so it ended up being 4v5 and we still pulled out a win. Our team was pretty decent but I think the other team sucked more.

So me and 2 of my buddies just finished Borderlands (beat the main story and all the expansions). We had fun with 4-5 runs through Commander Knoxx’s armory thanks to the “Knoxx Glitch”. We are level 48 in the end but yet, we still didn’t stand a chance against Crawmerax! This boss is level 61 on the first play-through! WTF. Anyway, it’s time for play-through 2!
